The Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) is an institute for advanced research, education and outreach on global governance. It was founded in 2007 as an equal collaboration among the Centre for International Governance Innovation, the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University.

The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) was founded in 2001 and is an independent, non-partisan think tank on international governance. Led by experienced practitioners and distinguished academics, CIGI supports research, forms networks, advances policy debate and generates ideas for multilateral governance improvements.


The Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) is a global professional association of educational and research institutions, individual scholars and practitioners active in the work and study of multilateral relations, global governance and international cooperation.

The International Migration Research Centre (IMRC) is a research centre whose mandate is to serve as a focal point for debate, research, policy analysis and proposal development related to international migration and mobility at the global, national and regional scale.
